Obituary of Catherine M. Usher

The death of Catherine M. Usher, wife of William K. (Bill) Usher, occurred on September 11, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Nelson- Miramichi she was the daughter of the late Martin and Loretta (McEachreon) English. She was a Registered Nurse having worked at St. Joseph's Hospital and the DVA Hospital. She was a member of St. Matthews Parish, Grand Bay-Westfield. Besides her husband she is survived by her son Robert P. of Kingston, NB, her daughter Cathy and her husband John Philpott of Ottawa, ON, her sister Mary Duffy of Chatham, NB, her granddaughters Karen, Lori and Susan and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Joe, Adrian and Michael English, and her sisters Lena English and Anna McCarthy. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 14, 2004, at 2:00 PM, from St. Matthews Church, Grand Bay-Westfield. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances made to St. Matthews Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
