Obituary of Thomas William Price

It is with most heartfelt sadness that we announce Tom's passing into God's hands on March 13, 2005 at his residence in Rothesay, NB. He was born in Saint John, NB on April 7, 1953 a son of Joy (Alberts) McKenzie and the late Lawrence Price. Tom studied and became a carpenter early on in life and worked in construction until joining Lantic Sugar in 1977, where he remained until it's closing. In the year 2000 he purchased and ran “Happy Face Cabinets” until becoming ill in 2004. Tom went on in life to become a jack-of-all-trades constantly trying to better himself. There was nothing more that he enjoyed than spending time with his grandchildren, his AOW Car racing and traveling to Cuba; these became the loves of his life except for Cathy and his children for whom he did everything. Survived by his wife, Cathy (Nixon) Price of Rothesay; son, Mark T. (Michelle) of Price of Saint John; daughter, Shelley (Ernie) Rogers of Rothesay; mother, Joy McKenzie; brother, David Price of Saint John; sisters, June (Ken) Lane and Tanya (Wilfred) Smith, both of Saint John; grandchildren, Hailie and Kaleb Rogers and Kaitlyn Price; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Guy and Mary Nixon; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 15 & 16, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, March 17, 2005 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Cancer Ward of IWK or a charity of the donor's choice.
