Obituary of Theresa Catherine Hazelwood
Theresa Catherine Hazelwood of 110 Sunrise Drive, Saint John, wife of Norman D. Hazelwood, occurred on Sunday, March 23, 2003, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born and educated in Saint John, she was the youngest daughter of the late Frank J. and Blanid F. (McNamee) Daley. She was employed with District #8, School Board, as a Teacher's Assistant at St. Malachy's Memorial High School. Theresa enjoyed entertaining, music, shopping, and the quietness of the outdoors during the summer. She loved to travel and especially valued time spent with family and friends. Theresa will be sadly missed by the love of her life, her husband, Norman, two daughters, Shawna (Mrs. Michael Black) and Amanda (Mrs. Andy Foote) both of Saint John, two precious granddaughters, Madalyn Catherine and Gabriella Elizabeth (Gabby) Black, and two sisters, Elizabeth (Mrs. Patrick Brownlow) of Halifax, NS, and Eleanore (Mrs. John Kelley) of Quispamsis, NB. She also leaves behind her Goddaughter, Melissa (Mrs. Duane Parkinson) of Bedford, NS, her dear and sister-like friend, Christine Tayes, two aunts, her mother-in-law, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Frank J. Daley in 1993. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506) 634-7424, with visitation on Monday from 7-9 PM and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at 10:00 AM from St. Ann's Church. Interment will take place at a later date at St. Patrick's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society, Romero House Soup Kitchen, or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. www.brenansfh.com
