Obituary of Elmira H. Dobbin
The death of Elmira H. Dobbin of 32 Wesley Drive, North, Rothesay, wife of the late C. Murray Dobbin, occurred on Sunday, April 11, 2004, at her residence. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Norman R. and Sadie H. (McNeill) McLeod. Mrs. Dobbin was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Rothesay and their ACW. She enjoyed going for walks and time spent playing Bridge and quilting, with her friends and was an active member of the Kennebecasis Quilting Guild. She is survived by one son, Brad Dobbin (Christine) of Gondola Point, one daughter, Myra Ann Moore (Donald) also of Gondola Point, five sisters, Marguerite Hopey (Walter) of St. Martins, Norveline Hopey (Percy) of Saint John, Olive Bradshaw of Saint John, Penny Berry of Orangeville, ON and Norma Sherwood (Larry) of Fairfield, four grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Lindsay and Alexander, several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her step-mother, Helen McLeod and three brothers, Lawrence, Harley and Raymond. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Rothesay on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at 10:00 AM. Interment in St. Luke's Anglican Church Cemetery, Gondola Point. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated.
