Obituary of James Donald Garnett

The death of James Donald Garnett, of the Loch Lomond Villa, Saint John, husband of the late Mary Elizabeth (London) Garnett, occurred on Sunday, October 5, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late James and Ethel (Land) Garnett. Mr. Garnett was a lifelong resident of Saint John and was employed as a Welder with the Saint John Dry Dock for over 25 years, retiring in 1982. He is survived by one son, R. Douglas Garnett (Ada) of Chesapeake, VA, one grandson, Charles Donald Garnett, of Chesapeake, VA, two great grandchildren, Richard and Madelyn, two sisters, Thelma Bennett of Vancouver, BC and Beatrice Wiley of Arizona, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth and Jean. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at 2:00 pm. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
