Obituary of Robert James Roach

The death of Robert J. Roach of 2 Glenview Ave., Saint John East, husband of Evelyn J. (Flemming) Roach occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, August 15, 2003. Born at Amherst, Nova Scotia, son of the Earl Thomas and Ella Floretta (Milner) Roach, he was formerly employed with McGregor Iron in Dunmore, PA and was a member of the Iron Workers Union. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Roland (Carolyn) of Belleville, ON and Raymond (Susan) of Saint John, two daughters, Joyce E. Penzes, Newmarket ON and Catherine (Les Richards) of New York, one brother Ross W. (Geraldine) of Prince George, BC, two sisters, Evelyn and Joan, Mrs. Donald Embree, both of Halifax, 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by three sons, Donald Allan, Kenneth James and John William and a daughter Mary Elizabeth Haley. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). Visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held from Brenan's Chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 am. Interment to take place in Amherst, NS at a later date.
