Obituary of Gerald M. McKinnon

The death of Jerry McKinnon of Saint John, NB, occurred unexpectedly at his residence, on Tuesday, July 8th, 2003. A lifelong resident of Saint John, Jerry was the son of the late Gerald W. and Phyllis B. (McLean) McKinnon-Fennell. Jerry is survived by his wife Joan (Jordan) McKinnon, his son Jerry of Halifax, and daughter Jessica and grandson Kyle of Saint John. His sisters Ann Marie McLellan (Cissy), and Crystal McKinnon, brothers Tom and Rick McKinnon, and several nieces and nephews, all of Saint John. Jerry worked for Saint John Shipbuilding Ltd. for 14 years and then at R.M.H. until an accident in 2002, which left him unable to work. Jerry loved to play pool in his free time. He will be deeply missed by all, including his loving dog Rusty. At the family's request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634- 7424), on Friday, July 11, 2003 at 2:00p.m. For those who wish, donations can be made to any charity of the donor's choice.
