Obituary of Edith Frances Cronk

The death of Edith Frances Cronk of 219 Ellerdale Street, Saint John occurred on Monday, June 02, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Ethel Jane (MacFarlane) Cronk. Edith was employed for 45 years with the Red Rose Tea Company, and was a member of the Church of St. John Baptist (Mission Church) and St. Clement. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Edith is survived by two nieces, Nancy LeRoy (Jack) of Quispamsis, and Jacqueline Blackburn (Terry) of Oromocto; and a nephew, Robert Cronk (Suzanne) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Edith was predeceased by a sister, Yetta Parks; and two brothers, William Cronk of Saint John, and Murray Cronk of Oromocto. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2008 at 12:00 Noon at All Saint’s Anglican Cemetery, Clifton Royal. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or Mission Church would be appreciated by the family. The funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
