Obituary of Yvonne Theresa Mason

The death of Yvonne “Bonnie” Theresa Mason of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Walter Edward Mason, occurred on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was a daughter of the late Robert John and Mary (Johnson) Garnett. She loved her family very much and was a special “Nanny Mason” and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Survived by six sons: Michael (Elizabeth) of New Maryland, NB, Jack (Patsy) of Geary, NB, Brian (Debbie), Bruce (Kim) and Norman (Margaret), all three of Saint John, Stephen (Melissa) of Fredericton, NB; three daughters: Gail (George) Nicholson of Oromocto, NB, Debbie Hewey and Carla (Frank) Mason, both of Saint John; three brothers: Pete (Gerry), Gregory (Elsie) and Leslie (Mary) Garnett, all three of Saint John; two sisters: Barbara Campbell of Saint John and Demaris Cummings of Portage Le Prairie, Manitoba; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Walter Edward Mason (1969); a son William “Bill” Paul Mason (1995); four brothers: Ronald, Roy, Norman and an infant brother, Maurice; two sisters: Doris Anderson and Joan Hebert. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Wednesday from 7-9 pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Waterloo St., Saint John on Friday, June 8, 2007 at 12 noon. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice.
