Obituary of Georgia Ernestine Williams

Williams, Georgia Ernestine … Georgia E. Williams of Bayswater, NB, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at the age of 87. Born in Saint John, NB, September 3, 1919 the daughter of the late Ernest and Lavenia (Linton) Arthurs. Georgie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son, Victor (Marilyn) Williams of Bayswater; daughter, Jill Atkins of Quispamsis, NB; four grandchildren, Kirk Williams (Teri Fullerton), Ryan Williams (Robin Brown), Naomi (Nathanael) Phinney and Bronwyn Atkins; several cousins, many nieces and nephews, extended relatives and many friends. Predeceased by her husband, Bruce H. Williams; son-in-law, Norman Atkins; brothers, Lee Arthurs and William Arthurs; she was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Georgie was a lifelong resident of the Bayswater area, an active and faithful member of the Anglican Parish of Kingston, Kingston Friendship Group, Peninsula Pearls Seniors, The Peninsula Heritage Inc., Wednesday Night Card Club, The Friendly Quilters, The PC Party of Canada, President of Westfield ACW and lifelong member of St. Alban’s Anglican Church (former Parish of Westfield). Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row , Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 11 am. Interment will be in Hardings Point Cemetery (Loyalist). In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, the Saint John Animal Rescue League or a charity of the donor’s choice.
