Obituary of Gary Sterling Stackhouse

Gary Sterling Stackhouse of Saint John, husband of Nadine (Banks) Stackhouse, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 31, 2008 after a brave six month battle with cancer. Born at Saint John, he was a son of Ruth (Hetherington) Stackhouse and the late Les Stackhouse, who predeceased him in May of 2007. Gary was a graduate of Saint John Vocational School, and worked at T. S. Simms for more than forty years before his retirement. Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling, and spent many happy days at his camp in Musquash. In addition to his wife and to his mother, Gary is survived by his sons, Glen and Greg (Joanne), all of Saint John; his brother, Laurie, also of Saint John; grandchildren Brittany, Connor, Jonathan, and Julianne; and by several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2:15 PM from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
