Obituary of Alice Kathleen Buckland

Buckland, Alice Kathleen “Kay” … The death of Kay Buckland occurred on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the Carleton Kirk Nursing Home. She was born in Saint John on March 24, 1925 to the late John and Margaret (Moore) Shuve. Kay worked for Cedar Hill/Greenwood Cemetery and Thorne’s in the office administration department. She was a member of St. George’s Anglican Church. She is survived by her three children: Peter Buckland (Judy Halassy) of Saint John, NB, Patricia Johnson (Stephen) of Quispamsis, NB and Michael Buckland of New York, NY; three brothers: Alfred (Ruby) of Saint John, NB, Ainslie of Toronto, ON and Edward (Peggy) of Saint John, NB; one sister, Hilda Holyoke of Saint John, NB; four grandchildren: Kerri Stevens (Jack), Elliott Buckland, Adrienne Buckland and Joshua Halassy-Creamer and one great granddaughter Mya Stevens. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visitation on Tuesday form 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from St. George’s Anglican Church, Saint John West on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 1 pm. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
