Obituary of Thomas McClintock

The passing of Thomas McClintock, husband of Elizabeth “Betty” (Borland) McClintock occurred on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Tom was born in Kilmaurs, Scotland on August 3, 1923 to the late Alfred and Margaret (Wales) McClintock. He managed several grocery stores during his career including the Safeway. In his spare time, Tom was an avid gardener and enjoyed painting. Besides his loving wife Betty, He is survived by one son, Fred McClintock (Diane) of Bedford, NS; five grandchildren: Stuart (Cindy), Lynne, Craig (Cheryl), Allyson (Rob) and Craig (Amy); 12 great grandchildren. Tom was predeceased by his parents and grandson Carl. A memorial service for Tom will be held at St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home Chapel on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 1 pm. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
