Obituary of Jerome Scott

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, the death of Jerome Scott, husband of Beverly Scott (Barker) occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, December 09, 2010. He was born on May 13, 1938 at Shelburne, NS to the late Bernice Scott. Jerry worked as a welder for Irving Oil Ltd. for many years until his retirement. Besides his wife Bev, Jerry is survived by his son, Jason (Bev) of Saint John; three daughters: Rebecca Powers (Barb Reicker) and Angela Haley both of Saint John and Anne Scott of Calgary, AB; brother, William (Ella); two sisters: Grace Sullivan (Brew) and Beth McGowan (Bob) and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides his mother, Jerry was predeceased by his step-father, Lincoln; daughter, Deborah and sister, Deloris Dellaire. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 10 AM. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
