Obituary of Joseph Albert Doucette

The death of Joe Doucette occurred at his residence on Thursday, April 1, 2010. He was born on May 23, 1943 at Shelburne, NS to the late Joseph and Vivian (Acker). Joe worked for Saint John Shipbuilding and as a Longshoreman until his retirement. He is survived by his two sons: Danny and John both of Saint John; daughter, Theresa Doucette of Toronto, ON; three brothers, Yvon (Colette), Rheal (Charlene) and John (Diane) all of Saint John; four sisters: Maxine (Andreas) Doucette, Theresa Doucette, Elizabeth McKay and Carol McLaren all of Saint John; seven grandchildren: Abby, Robert, Tasha, Jessica, Destiny, Reine and Meghan and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Joe was predeceased by two sisters: Madeline Hobbs and Nancy Savoy. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 12 Noon. For those who wish, remembrances to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
