Obituary of Doris Mary Burke

Doris Mary Burke of Saint John passed away on Wednesday, April 07, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Saint John, the daughter of the late Charles and Stella Crilley. Doris had a talent for drawing and painting, and enjoyed music, especially playing the piano. She had a kind and generous nature, and will be missed by all who knew her. Doris was married to Robert Burke, and they had two sons, Vincent Burke of Saint John and Anthony Burke of Campbellton. She is also survived by sisters Linda Crilley of Saint John, Marjorie Monahan of Ontario, and Gloria Brillant of Bathurst; brothers Ronald Crilley of Saint John and Bernard Crilley (Jean) of Nova Scotia; and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Doris was predeceased by a brother, Donald Crilley. Although there will be no visiting, relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 10:00 AM from Holy Trinity Church, Rockland Road, Saint John. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
