Obituary of Mary Louise Crothers

The death of Mary Louise (Blanchard) Crothers, occurred on November 10, 2009 at Rocmaura Nursing Home at the age of 83. Louise was born on November 4, 1926 in Bathurst, NB. She was a daughter of the late Adolph and Bridgett (Daigle) Blanchard. Louise lived the first part of her life with her special aunt Louise Best. She moved to Saint John in her twenties, where she worked at City Laundry and met her husband of 53 years, Murray Robert Crothers. Survived by her three sons, Robert (Patty) of Hampton, NB, Wayne (Sharon) of Saint John and David (Tina) Crothers of Baxter’s Corner; one daughter, Mary Jean (Glenn) Gillette of Beaverton, On; one brother, John (Marion) Blanchard; four sisters, Marion (Emery) Leblanc; Theresa Blanchard; Mary (Chvise) Christoff of Ontario and Angel Blanchard of Bathurst; eight grandchildren, Jamie, Ashley, Wayne, Kayne, Deson, John, Amanda and Michelle; three great- grandsons; Trent, David and Hank; one great-granddaughter, Katlyn. Louise was predeceased by one sister, Delia Nichol of Bathurst. The Crothers family would like to extend a heart felt “Thank You” to the staff of Rocmaura Nursing Home for the excellent care she received while a resident there. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2009 from Brenan’s Chapel at 10:00 am. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
