Obituary of Alice Clara Flanagan

Alice Clara Flanagan of Saint John, and formerly of Ottawa, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Moncton on September 9, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Clara (Landry) Flanagan. Alice is survived by her sons, Howard Stanley (Carolyn) of Ottawa, Ontario, Graeme Stanley of Barcelona, Spain, and Wimbledon, United Kingdom, and Malcolm Stanley (Wendy) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Evelyn, Thomas, Cameron, Robin, Megan, and Holly; a sister, Jacqueline Powers; a brother, Henry Flanagan; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Alice was predeceased by a sister, Frances Flanagan. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM from St. Bernard’s Church, Botsford Street, Moncton. Interment will take place in the Shediac Road Cemetery, Lewisville, New Brunswick. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
