Obituary of Donald Frederick Collins

Donald Frederick Collins of Saint John passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Blissfield, Northumberland County, on July 27, 1932, he was a son of the late Pearl and Jane (McVicar) Collins. Donald is survived by two brothers, Perley Collins (Ruth) of Acamac and Stanley Collins (Rene) of Saint John; a sister, Gladys Grozik of Saint John; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Russell, and by an infant brother, Ronald. In keeping with Donald’s wishes, all funeral services will be held privately. For those who wish, remembrances to any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. The funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
