Obituary of Loretta Ann Sutherland

Surrounded by her family the death of Loretta Sutherland occurred at the Kennebec Nursing Home on Saturday, November 2, 2013. She was born on January 15, 1932 in Perce, QC to the late Florence and Theresa (Donohue) O’Leary. Loretta worked for many years with the Canadian Red Cross and finished her career as a private homecare provider. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; she loved her family dearly. Loretta is survived by her son, David Dickie (Karen) of Oak Point; granddaughters: Miranda and Melinda Dickie; sister: Dina Dickie; brother, Bernard O’Leary; former daughter-in-law and friend, Kathy Joudrey and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, first husband, Arthur Dickie; second husband, Victor Sutherland; son, Bill Dickie; brothers: Gerald; sisters: Gladys, Hilda, Beatrice O’Leary, Doris and brother-in-law: Lloyd Dickie. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A private family interment will take place in Spring Creek Cemetery, Mississauga, ON at a later date.
