Obituary of Mary Elinor Quinn

The death of Elinor Quinn of Quispamsis and formerly of Saint John, beloved wife of the late Robert "Bob" Quinn occurred on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Embassy Hall - Shannex. Born on July 5, 1931 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Anne (Mathews) Ryan. In her early working career, Elinor was employed with Northern Electric and NBTel. She finally retired as an office administrator who was employed by Dr. Andrade. In her younger years, Elinor enjoyed curling, bowling and loved to skate. She will be sadly missed. Elinor is survived by her children, Kathy Hughes (Gary) of Alberta, Anna Quinn of Sussex and Stephen Quinn (Patricia) of Ontario; brother, David Ryan (Donna) of Loch Lomond; sister, Isobel Forestell of Rothesay; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her brother, Edmund Ryan; brother-in-law, Harry Forestell and sister-in-law, Ethel Ryan. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Peter’s Church, 50 Clarendon Street, Saint John on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at a later date in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Cathedral Restoration and Waterloo Village Revitalization Projects or the charity of the donor’s choice.
