Obituary of Marilyn Viola Simonds

Marilyn Viola Simonds passed away on October 18, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on April 29, 1942 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Leila (Nogueira) Cathline. Marilyn was a member of Glen View United Church and a member of the NBTA Retired Teachers. Surviving are chosen grandson, William (Katherine) Simonds and their children Emily and William; brothers-in-law, Robert Simonds and Wayne Simonds; sister-in-law, Cheryl Simonds; Lloyd and Judy Cathline; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, William Clayton Simonds; sister, Sandra Cathline and an infant brother. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) where visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place, on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM, Glen View United Church, 8 Upland Rd, Saint John. Interment will be held in Fernhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, remembrances in memory of Marilyn may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
