Obituary of Gordon Charles Cross

The death of Gordon Charles Cross of Old Black River Road occurred suddenly on June 30, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on May 14, 1951 he was a son of Charlie and the late Margaret (Coombs) Cross. In addition to his father, Charlie, Gordon will be missed by his sister, Carol Ferris (Charles "Buzzy"); daughter Laura Stoddard (Robert); Grandchildren, Erica and Brett Stoddard and Alexander Gallup; step-children, Troy Craig and Krista Petrie; daughter-in-law, Leanne Gallup; his loving dog, Polar; as well as the mother of his children, Doreen Cross. Gordon was predeceased by his son, Neil Cross in 2014 and his partner, Eleanor Craig in 2015. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Celebration of Gordon’s life will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 2:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to the SPCA- Animal Rescue League or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
