Obituary of Ann Marie Enman

Ann Marie (Cormier) Enman, age 58 of Saint John, NB, passed away from cancer on May 25, 2014, with family by her side. She was born to the late Laurie and Alice (Leblanc) Cormier on August 8, 1955. She is survived by her husband Brian Enman; sons: Bryan (Jeanette) Enman and Keith (Serena) Enman, grandchildren: Hailey, Abby, Eric and Bradley; sisters, Vicky (Larry) Herrington and Susan (David) Todd; brother, Laurie Cormier and numerous relatives and friends, both old and new. Besides her parents, she is also predeceased by her brother Ricky Cormier. She was born and raised in Saint John NB. After completing her education, she made the decision to be a stay at home mom, so she could raise her two sons, Bryan and Keith. Once it was time for her to return to work, it was the 6th floor at St. Joseph’s Hospital where she would take her final job as part of the kitchen staff, working there for over 24 years, meeting many friends along the way, until the time of her passing. Ann was happiest when she was with family. Her happiness only grew with the addition of each grandchild. Christmas dinners at her house, along with the traditional "Christmas family photo" were one of the most enjoyable times of the year for her, as it was a time when all of her family could get together under one roof. Her grandchildren could always count on NANA to have treats and juice boxes stockpiled, and like all great NANA’S, often gave them much more than they needed, although never readily admitting to it. Another of Ann’s great enjoyments was her time spent with family and friends at her summer retreat, South Oromocto Lake. She loved the warm summer days there and filled those hours relaxing, fishing, sitting by the bonfire with friends and family, and listening to her favorite bird, The Loon, singing on the lake. When it rained she could curl up in bed and watch a movie or catch up on celebrity news by reading her People magazine. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Wednesday from 6-8 pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 2:00pm. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery with a reception following at the RCL Branch 53, Jervis Bay. For those who wish, remembrances to the Saint John Boys and Girls Club, charity of choice or Ann would simply like everybody to take time to do something they like, with someone they love, or call a family member or friend that they haven’t heard from in a long time.
