Obituary of Melissa Dawn McKeon

It is with deep sadness that the family of Melissa Dawn McKeon announces her passing, which occurred on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born on January 26, 1980, she was the daughter of Terry and Jean (Holmes) McKeon. Melissa was a Medical Research Coordinator at the Canada East Spine Centre. She had a passion for sports and was a lifeguard at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre, a trainer for Saint John High School and UNB Saint John football teams, and worked with the Saint John Mill Rats. Aside from her parents, Melissa is survived by her dog Ellie, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Walter and Helen (Butler) Holmes and paternal grandparents Arthur and Helen (O’Toole) McKeon. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the entire staff and volunteers at Bobby’s Hospice. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 2-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joachim’s Church, 603 Loch Lomond Rd., Saint John, on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Bobby’s Hospice or Cancer Research Society would be appreciated by the family.
