Obituary of Gladys Lorraine Quinn

The unexpected death of Gladys Quinn, wife of the late Walter Quinn occurred at her residence on Saturday, December 14, 2013. She was born on August 25, 1915 in Geary, NB to the late William and Laura (Grasse) Poore. Gladys's life was her family, she devoted herself to her children. She was a very caring and giving mother. Gladys enjoyed her many gatherings of the ‘Cousins Club’. She loved travelling with Walter in the trailer. They had many trips throughout the United States and vacationing as well at Hardings Point and St. George. Gladys is survived by her son, Gerald (Rose Marie) of Moncton; daughter, Linda Norman (Floyd) of Saint John; grandchildren: Jeffrey Quinn, Danny Quinn, Tim Norman and Tanya Carr (Chris); great-grandchildren: Madison, Owen, and Tyson and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter; parents; brothers: Gerald and Fred and sisters: Ruth and Mavis. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Although there is no visitation, a funeral service from Brenan’s Funeral Home will take place on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
