Obituary of Gavin Jason Adams

It is with deep sadness to announce the untimely death of Gavin Jason Adams, 17, of Saint John, New Brunswick. Gavin will be profoundly missed by his family and friends. His parents David and Sonja cherish the 17 joyous years that he brought to their lives. His sister Elspeth has lost her only sibling and her best friend. Gavin is survived by his loving grandmother Mrs. Charmaine Adams of Rothesay, NB; his aunts, Diane Adams of Quispamsis, NB; Ronee deLangen of Vernon, BC and Alida Chapman of North Vancouver, BC. He is predeceased by grandparents: Earl Adams of Winnipeg, Man., and Matt and Alida deLangen of Vernon, BC. Gavin was born in Saint John, NB, on April 18, 1996. Right from a very young age, Gavin showed an incredible sense of humour, which resonated with both young and old. His sensitivity and intuitive understanding gave him a gift of engaging with people. He loved his guitar, self-taught, he shared his music with an entrepreneurial spirit. Gavin's independent nature led him to explore wholeheartedly different activities in life from the swim team to choir, from science to drama. Gavin was a devoted dependable friend. The funeral service will be held at 12 noon at the Church of St. Andrew and St. David at 164 Germain Street on Saturday December 21, 2013. Rev. Wayne Dryer will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 pm and 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 19th, and Friday December 20th at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Symphony New Brunswick Foundation and/or Saint John High School Centennial Fund.
