Obituary of Burton Augustus Fraser

Burton Augustus Fraser passed away October 27, 2015, at Embassy Hall, Quispamsis, NB. Born on February 13, 1927 in McAdam, NB he was a son of the late Charles and Lottie (Short) Fraser. He was a long time member and leader of the Forest Hills Baptist Church and volunteered in many church activities. He loved to camp and travel and enjoyed the special times visiting his son and grandchildren out west. He loved trains, music and playing the guitar. He is survived by his wife, Velma E. (Furrow) Fraser; son, Charles Fraser, Kamloops, BC; daughters Linda Campbell (Gale Rutherford), Quispamsis; Frances (Joel) Johnston, Saint John; grandchildren Stephen Fraser (Morgan); Richard Fraser, Joseph Campbell (Jen), Clarence "Junior" Campbell, Jodi Campbell and Daniel Johnston (Abby), Paul and Loren Rutherford; great grandchildren, Jade, Tori, Racheal, Tristen, Owen, Jenna, and Jayla, Bailey, Sam, Brayden and Isabel great-great granddaughter, Kailee; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his great grandson Justin Holmes. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Saturday October 31 and Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 1-4 pm. A service of celebration will be held on Monday, November 2, from Forest Hills Baptist Church, 36 Mountain Rd, Saint John, NB at 1:00 pm. Interment at Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, NB on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 1:00 pm. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the donor’s choice, would be appreciated by the family.
