Obituary of Inez Marion Morneau

Inez "Irene" Marion (Clancy) Morneau The service will be webcasted and can be accessed on Brenan's website at the time of the service. To view the service, please visit http://youtu.be/6ZZpNweHXgQ It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of their beloved mother Inez (Irene) Marion (Clancy) Morneau at the age of 94. Wife of the late Ervin "Pope" Morneau which occurred on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Newcastle, NB on August 14, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Annie (McIvor) Clancy. Irene was well liked and a very outgoing person. She loved spending time at the camp and knitting, quilting and puzzles. She was always there for and helping others right up to her death. She was a member and past president of Glen Falls Gems and a member of the seniors club at Hillcrest Village. She is survived by her six children, Mary Magee of Auckland, New Zealand, Ed (Carol) of St. Catharines, ON; Randy (Diane deceased) of Central Elgan, ON; Ervin (Judy) of Brisco BC; Paul (Emma) of Musquash, NB; Cathy (Barry) Mullett of Saint John, NB; sisters-in-law, Jeannie Stackhouse and Shirley Morrison; brother-in-law, David (Betty) Morneau; 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son Ian at the age of eight years; sisters: Irene, Kay, Florence and Stella and brothers: Jack, James and Cecil. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 10 am from St. Ann’s Church, 135 Simpson Drive, Saint John. Interment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.
