Obituary of Lois Marilyn Donovan

It is with great sadness the family of Lois M. (Irwin) Donovan, wife of the late L. M. "Pete" Donovan, announce her passing on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born in Saint John on April 13, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Hazel (Izzard) Irwin. Lois is survived by her children, Michael Donovan of Old Lyme, CT, Cathy Basque (Dave) of London, ON, Debbie Morrell (Dave) of Saint John, James Donovan (Marie-Mai) of Saint John, Ken Donovan (Cheryl) of Saint John, and Peter Donovan (Laura) of Colchester, CT; a sister, Norma McAleer (Richard) of Saint John; 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband of 55 years, and her parents, Lois was predeceased by her brother, Don Irwin and sister, Hilda Wilkins. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). In accordance with Lois’ wishes, there will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation or SPCA – Animal Rescue would be appreciated by the family.
