Obituary of Joan Margaret Fitzgerald

Joan M. Fitzgerald passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital Sunday afternoon, March 1st, 2015. Joan is remembered fondly by her many friends in the old Village of Renforth, where she served as the Postmistress, Village Clerk, General Store owner and Manager, for many years. Joan was an active member of the Parish of Renforth, where she continued, to her life’s end, to volunteer her skills, knowledge and wisdom. Joan was predeceased by her father, John Milton Fitzgerald and mother, Jessie Mary (Tuson) Fitzgerald. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with a reception and funeral service at St. James the Less Church, 1760 Rothesay Road, NB on Friday March 6, 2015 (the reception will be from 12 noon to 1 pm followed by the funeral service at 1 pm). Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery in the spring. For those who wish, remembrances can be made to St. James the Less Church (Parish of Renforth).
