Obituary of Ronald H.J. Roy

The death of Ronnie Roy of Saint John, husband of Sharon (Mason) Roy occurred unexpectedly, on February 5, 2015, at his residence, with his family by his side. Ronnie was born in Saint John on September 20, 1946 and was a son of Rita (Levine) Thorne and the late Hector Roy. He was predeceased by two sisters Shirley and Catherine and brother Bobby. Ronnie enjoyed trailering at Pleasant Lake, Maine and in his early years was an avid hunter and fisherman. Ronnie enjoyed wood carving and tying fishing flies. He was proud of his native heritage. As well as his wife and mother he is survived by his daughter Tanya (Thomas) Lanigan, and his son Paul Roy, his sister Gloria and his three brothers Walter, Kenny, and Jeffery, two granddaughters Alyssa and Robyn and great granddaughter Akeighla Ruth Anne, several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home (634-7424), 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB. Visiting Sunday February 8, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
