Obituary of Wanda Mary Byers

Surrounded by her loving family, the death of Wanda Byers occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, May 8, 2014. She was born on June 22, 1957 in Saint John to the late Lawrence and Florence (Ferris) Roy. Wanda worked for over 27 years as a counselor at Hestia House, a career that she loved dearly. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Tracy Byers of Saint John; son, Michael Wilson of Alberta; brothers: Ricky Roy (Maryann), Lawrence Roy (Nancy Vaughn) and Gary Keleher; grandchildren: James, Jacob, Mary-Lynn and David; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn and several nieces and nephews. Wanda was predeceased by her parents and sister, Linda Craig. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John with visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
