It is with great sadness that the family of Mildred Chatterton, longtime resident of Bains Corner and beloved wife of the late Theodore Chatterton announces her passing, which occurred peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at Embassy Hall - Shannex, Quispamsis. Born in Bains Corner on March 27, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Neil and Isabell (Porter) Smith. Prior to her retirement, Mildred was employed at the Saint John General Hospital as a nurse’s aid. She particularly enjoyed the last 20 years of her career working in the hospital nursery. Mildred was a member of St. Martins Seniors Club and a former member of Simonds Seniors Lions Club. She was a gracious hostess and was well known for her baked goods. Most of all, Mildred treasured the times spent with her precious family and will always be remembered as a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Mildred is survived by her children, Calvin Chatterton (Myrna) and Pat Barsalou (Bob) all of Bains Corner; six grandchildren, Cheryl, Thomas, Jeffrey, Darren, Chantale and Kyle; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
