Obituary of Katie Rebecca Cullen

It is with great sadness that the family of Katie Rebecca Cullen announce her death, which occurred in Halifax, NS, on Thursday, September 24, 2015. Born in Saint John on November 26, 1992, she was a daughter of Pamela "Pam" Cullen-Byers and Robert Preston Muise. Katie was a free spirit who loved to dance like no one was watching, and would let them watch anyway! She loved music, especially the Dave Matthews Band. She had a passion for painting and had a great flare for decorating. She also loved nature and the outdoors, but more than anything, she loved her son Keelan. Besides her parents, Katie will be missed by her son, Keelan Taylor Preston Scott; his father, Taylor Scott; stepfather, Paul Byers; stepmother, Lisa Muise; brothers, Jeffery Byers (Krystal Furrow); Kalum Russell (Ashley Parlee); and Aidan Muise; sisters, Angeline (Reginald) Richard; Samantha Byers; and Danielle Muise; paternal grandmother, Louise Muise; maternal grandparents, Paul and Judy Cullen; special grandparents, Mitchell and Beatrice Jackson; special friend, Derrick Gill; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephew, and friends. She was predeceased by her infant brother, Ryan Preston Muise. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424), with visitation on Monday, September 28, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday September 29, 2015 at 10:00 AM.
