Obituary of Stanley Alexander Lamb

Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather After a brief illness, Alex died peacefully on March 9, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born on November 14, 1925 in Gaspereau Forks, N.B., the son of the late Charles and Sibbald (Darrah) Lamb. For 45 years, Alex prided himself on his home milk delivery service that began as an employee of Baxter Dairies Ltd and later ended as a franchise owner. He was well respected and appreciated in the community. Alex is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Beulah (Kincade) Lamb, his daughter Deborah (Nihat Ozerdem) McCormack and son, Mark (Kristen) Lamb. He was the proud grandfather of Dr. Julie (Mark) Grabowy of Ottawa, Ontario, Dr. Jessica McCormack of South Bend, Indiana and Misses Magen and Nicole Lamb of Quispamsis. His two great-grandchildren, Roman and Alexandra, and special companion Cheetah brought him much joy. He is survived by his sisters Bernice Thompson of Chipman and Georgina (Chester) Biggs of Saint John, brothers Chesley (Joan) Lamb of Chipman, Goldwin (Audrey) Lamb of Saint John and Joseph Lamb of Chipman, sister-in-law Betty Lamb of Saint John as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Alex was predeceased by brothers, Clayton, Lauchlan and Benton and brother-in-law Ernest Thompson. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at 12 Noon. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to the charity of donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
