Obituary of Della Jean Logan

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jean Logan, beloved wife of the late Arthur Logan announces her passing, which occurred on Thursday, March 5, 2015, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on January 19, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Della (Quigley) Paley. Prior to her retirement, Jean was employed with District 6 as a custodian. She was a skilled quilter and enjoyed sewing and various craft projects. Jean loved surfing the internet and had a real interest in computers. She was a great cook and always treasured the times spent with those she loved; in particular she loved the many large family gatherings. Jean is survived by her children, Judi McBride (Neil) and Arthur Logan Jr. (Sherri) all of Nauwigewauk, Deborah O’Donnell of Sussex, Gary Logan (Dianne) of Hammond River/Alberta, Ronald Logan at home, Daniel Logan (Odessa) of Bloomfield/Alberta and Mary Logan at home; brothers, Kenneth Paley (Jean) and Patrick Bannon all of Saint John; sister, Anne Crozier (James) of Saint John; grandchildren, Shannon, Dylan, Trisha, Kathleen, Josh, Serena, Kyle, Nigal, Josie, Lyla; great-grandchildren, Ava, Jamie and Emma; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Jean was also predeceased by sons, Jamie and Donald; sister, Joan Bannon; brother, William (Bill) Paley and biological parents, Albert and Marion (Quigley) Bannon. Although there will be no visitation, relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be on Friday, March 13, 2015, at 12:00 Noon from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
