Obituary of Mary Margaret Hines

Hines, Mary Margaret – Surrounded by her loving family the death of Mary Hines (Adams), wife of Stan Hines occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, January 23, 2014 after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born on February 18, 1950 in Saint John to the late Kier and Dorothy (McLeod) Adams. Mary worked in the dietary department at all the major hospitals in Saint John for many years; retiring as the dietary and housekeeping supervisor. Mary was a huge supporter of the Saint John Boys and Girls Club. Her hobbies included crocheting, gardening, and baking especially pies and her famous pie crust. Mary’s first love was Stan, but they lost each other early in life; however they had a re-connection and have been together for the last 22 years. Together they enjoyed their yearly trips to Connecticut where they were married. She is also survived by her sons: Brandon (Stacey) of Saint John and Mark (Vicki) of Quispamsis; grandchildren: Hayley, Rachel, Jeremy, Daniel and Owen; brothers: Kier (Beverly) and Wayne (Brenda); sisters: Brenda Mazerolle (Danny), Kierlyn Stevenson (Allan), Susan Adams and Joan Benoit (Roger) and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and Monday from 2-4 pm only. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
