Obituary of Donna Leila Dempsey

With heavy hearts, the family of Donna L. Dempsey, wife of Roger Dempsey, announce her passing which occurred on Monday, October 5, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on July 17, 1945 she was a daughter of the late Roy and Edna (McIntosh) McQuinn. In addition to her loving husband, Roger of 50 years, Donna will be missed by her daughters, Tammy Dempsey and Tina Northrup (Pat); grandchildren, Michael and Kristy Northrup and Cody Williams; great grandchildren, Adrianna and Sophie Dionne and Bailey Dallon; nephews, Jamie Dempsey (Bertha) and Paul Dempsey (Jamie); as well as many other nieces, nephews and friends. Donna was predeceased by her parents, as well as two brothers, James and Ronald McQuinn. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday, October 7 and Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A celebration of Donna’s life will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 12:00 PM from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
