Obituary of Marion Gladys Clarke

The death of Marion (Bannister) Clarke of Saint John, NB, wife of Allison Clarke, occurred peacefully on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born July 13, 1937 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Marion (Naves) Carr and the late Arnold Bannister. Marion was an avid bowler and enjoyed crafts and bingo. A loving mother, grandmother and aunt, she is survived by one daughter, Patty (Kenny) Butler of Saint John; three sons: Al (Corry) of Saint John, Dan (Tracey) of Rothesay and Glen at home; three grandchildren: Danny Jr., Alicia and Kenny Jr.; three brothers: John Bannister of Ottawa, ON, Willard Carr of Keswick Ridge and Jackie Carr of Saint John; four sisters: Alice Bannister of Saint John, Arna Todd of Vancouver, BC, Marjorie Martin of Saint John and Elaine Skov-Neilson, Quispamsis; as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother, Harold Bannister. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 11 am. Interment will be in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances may be made to Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or any charity of choice.
