Obituary of Eleanor Marie Johnson

The death of Eleanor Marie Johnson, wife of the late Raymond Johnson, occurred on October 22, 2007 at her residence, St. John & St. Stephen Church Home. Born in St. Stephen she was the daughter of the late Harry and Irene (Fiander) McAleenan. She was a School Teacher in District 8 (20) having taught mostly at Havelock School. She was a parishioner of St. Pius X Church where she belonged to the CWL. She is survived by her sons Chris (Kim) and Greg (Lori), all of Saint John, her sisters Linda McAleenan of Bedford, NS, Judy Fleiger (John) of Calgary, AB, granddaughters Sydney and Kaylee Johnson and several cousins and nieces. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday from 7-9 pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, at 11:00 am, from Brenan’s Chapel. Following cremation interment will take place at the Bocabec Community Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
