Obituary of Gordon Francis Brown

Brown, Gordon Francis The death of Gordon Francis Brown, husband of Betty (Morrow) Brown, occurred on October 30, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Harold P. and Loretta (Joyce) Brown. He was employed with Marine Atlantic, Princess of Acadia, retiring as a bartender in 1997. He was a member of St. Francis X Church, Sussex, and belonged to the Knights of Columbus, Council #8213. He had a great love of horses, being a trainer and owner, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Besides his wife he is survived by his son James of Saint John, Carol Brown (Frank MacDonald) of Oromocto, his brothers and sisters; Mary (Paddy) Powers of MA, Joyce (Chuck) Bugg of AB, Patricia Brown of Saint John, Ronnie Brown of Cambridge Narrows, Phyllis (Allen) McGrath of Saint John, Margaret Conway of Saint John, Fred (Cathy) Brown of Saint John, Harold (Elaine) Brown of Sussex Corner, Michael (Sandra) of Quispamsis, Cathy (Don) Coes of Quispamsis, Geraldine (Don) O’Hara of Saint John, Linda Brown of Toronto, brother in law Bobby (Betty) Morrow of Toronto, grandchildren Jennifer and Brandon and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, at 10:00 am, from St. Francis X Church, Sussex. Interment at Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner. Remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
