Obituary of Ann Patricia Swain

Unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital, the death of Ann Swain, wife of Charles Swain of Champlain Drive, occurred on May 3, 2007. She was born on March 17, 1928 in Saint John to the late Jack and Lena (Burchill) Quilty. Besides being a devoted wife and mother, Ann worked at various Dominion Grocery Stores in Saint John. She has been enjoying her retirement for over 25 years. Ann is survived by husband Charles; four sons: John (Karen) and Sean (Sophie) of Saint John, Tom (Dianne) and Gary (Diane) of Quispamsis; two daughters: Debra (Gerald) LeBlanc of Saint John and Susan (Albert) Miner of Sussex; one brother Charles and one sister Frances Quilty both of Calgary; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, and half sister Julia Sears. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Monday, May 7, 2007 at 9 am. Interment to follow the mass in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
