Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Chapman

Chapman, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” … The death of Betty Chapman, wife of the late Maurice Leslie Chapman, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on October 30, 2007. She was born in Saint John on April 10, 1916, to the late Alexander and Mary (Girvan) Bishop. Betty was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Rothesay and was very active in the Anglican Church Women. She was a long time member of I.O.D.E. and the Union Club. Betty is survived by her three children: Mary Radamsky of Kennebecasis Park, Margaret (Jack) Winchester of Rothesay and James (Cathy) Chapman of Thunder Bay, Ontario; one brother Robert (Betty) Bishop of Rothesay; six grandchildren Kevin and Beverly Chapman, Michael, Mark (Carey), James (Sabrina) and Patrick (Wendy) Storey and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Betty was predeceased by her two brothers, Pete and Jack Bishop. Following cremation, Betty will rest at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB with visitation on Thursday, November 1, 2007, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Rothesay, NB, on Friday, November 2, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with interment at Fernhill Cemetery.
