Obituary of Doreen M. Basque

Basque, Doreen M. … After a couragous battle with cancer, the death of Doreen Mary Basque, of Saint John, NB, wife of William Porter, occurred on Sunday, February 17, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was a daughter of Clarence and Claudette Basque. Doreen was employed with Wyndham Worldwide Canada, and at the Irving Building as a custodian. She attended St. Pius X Church and enjoyed doing crafts. Besides her husband and parents Doreen is survived by son, Jason Basque, daughter, Sarah Basque both of Saint John; brothers, Kenneth (Sheri) Basque and Leonard (Shelley); sisters, Debbie (Dwayne) Bustard, Yvonne Basque and Laura Basque all of Saint John; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424) with visiting on Monday and Tuesday, February 18 & 19, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
