Obituary of Roger Allen Reed

The unexpected passing of Roger Reed, spouse of Diane Roy, occurred on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at his residence. Born June 27, 1953, he was a son of the late Florence (Stewart) and Hazen Reed. Roger worked as an industrial engineer with Irving Tissue for 23 years- a career which he very much enjoyed. He loved camping at Pleasant Lake Campground in the summer, and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Besides his spouse, he is survived by his children: Ike Reed, Emily Hall (Tracy), Laura Reed, Melissa Roy (Sean Toole), Joe Roy, and Raymond Roy; Corey Farewell, whom he loved like a son; brothers: James Kenney (Dianne) and Gary Kenney (Theresa); grandchildren: Christian Toole, Chelsey Reed, Taylor Reed, Cody Reed, Joel Hall, Kloe Hall, Bailey Hall, and Braydon Roy. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Jacob Toole and a sister, Janice Kenney Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, 634-7424. In keeping with Roger’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service, however friends and family are invited to the funeral home, where visiting will be held on Wednesday, April 10 and Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Interment will take place at a later date. Remembrances to World Vision or the IWK Children’s Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
