Obituary of Joyce Buzzell

Joyce Buzzell of Saint John, wife of the late Ward Buzzell, passed away on April 5, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, following a period of failing health. Joyce was born in Drayton Hallton, Leicester, England, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Lake) Ward. Joyce was married in England in 1942 and came to Canada as a War Bride in 1945 arriving at Pier 21 in Halifax. She lived in various parts of Canada, settling in Saint John in 1962. During World War II, Joyce served in England in the land army planting trees in the forestry section. She is survived by 2 sons, Gary (Gale) Buzzell of Beaverton, Ontario and Peter Buzzell of Saint John, and one grandson, Andrew Buzzell. Although there will be no visiting time, relatives and friends are welcome to attend the funeral service which will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, Kingston, NB on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to any charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
