Obituary of Audrey Geraldine Hamilton

It is with great sadness that the family of Audrey Geraldine Hamilton of Saint John, wife of David Hamilton, which occurred on April 19, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on November 13, 1940 she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Mertice (Higgins) Verner. Audrey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Audrey loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her so much joy. Audrey is survived by her husband, David; six children, Roland (Melody) Verner; Troy (Sandy) Beveridge; Bill (Kimberley) Beveridge; Danny (Mandy) Hamilton; Irene (Carter Cousins) Hamilton and David (Judy) Hamilton; eighteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, John (Marjorie); Joe and David; three sisters, Gina; Mertice (John) and Edna (Fred); several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, seven brothers, Mickie, Georgie, Harry, Benny, Herman, Fred, and Thomas; two sisters, Nene and Annie. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday and Sunday, April 21 and 22, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Church, 316 Somerset Street, on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society, the New Brunswick Lung Association, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
