Obituary of Mary Margaret Monteith

Mary "Margaret" Monteith passed away April, 24, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born August 24, 1929 she was a daughter of the late Charles and Frances (Patterson) Ellis. Margaret would be best known by the places she worked, Schurman’s , Color Your World and Downey Ford Lincoln. Margaret is survived by her son, Gary (Kay) Ellis; brothers, Lester (Sandra) Ellis; Glendon (Barbara) Ellis; sister-in-law, Joy Ellis; special friend and her Angel, David Patterson; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband, William "Bill" Monteith; and brother, Frank Ellis. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424 ). In keeping with Margaret’s wishes there will be no formal visitation. A public graveside service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to SPCA Animal Rescue League and Palliative Care Unit at Saint John Regional Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
