Obituary of J. Stephen Buckle

The death of J. Stephen "Steve" Buckle, of Darlings Island, NB, husband of Wendy (Dean) Buckle, occurred on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Gateshead, England, on December 14, 1949, he was the eldest son of the late Ronald and Marion (Taylor) Buckle. Steve was employed at the Saint John Dry Dock for several years. Then headed his own Project Control Consultancy Company. He enjoyed golf, football, reading and cooking. Besides his wife, Steve is survived by his daughter, Katie Duffy (Ryan) of Port Dover, ON, his brothers, Leigh (Lois), Colin (Elizabeth), and Melvin (Sue) all of England, and by several nieces and nephews. At Steve's request there will be no visitation. A private family Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) . For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the donor's choice.
